MISSION & VALUES
I am a human, an artist, and a dreamer. I dream of a world where each and every person gets to live their authentic life. In order to live an authentic life, we need to know ourselves completely and honestly, creating an inner compass that guides us. I find the art of screendance to nurture this inner compass by fully being with and expressing our emotions through movement. To feel seen and heard in our stories helps us own our narratives while gaining important insights into who we are and what we value in life. The values that guide me are authenticity, genuine connections with self and others, fun & joy, freedom, and meaningful work. Merging the emotionally raw and vulnerable artform of dance/performance with the visibility and cinematic storytelling techniques of film creates a strong and intimate glance into the heart and soul of our deepest truths.
CREDENTIALS
EDUCATION: Graduated from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, MI with a BFA in Art & Design in 2016
STUDY ABROAD: Study abroad program at the Burren College of Art School in Spring of 2014 in Ballyvaughan, Ireland
RESIDENCY: Individual Artist in Residence Program from May - June 2021 at the Centro Selva Artist in Residency in the Ucayali region of Peru.
PROGRAM SKILLS: Knowledge in the Adobe Suite such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
